COVID-19 (coronavirus)

The safety of our patients and team is paramount, and we are monitoring updates regarding COVID-19 Coronavirus via the Australian Dental Association and the Department of Health.

  1. All dental offices follow Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) guidelines of “Universal Precautions.” This means EVERY patient is treated as if they are infected with any and all pathogens.

    • Masks, gloves and eye protection are changed between patients.

    • Frequently handled hard surfaces are either covered with clean plastic wraps (“barrier” techniques) or are wiped with hospital grade bactericidal sprays or wipes.

    • All instruments are “autoclaved” (sterilized via pressurized heat) or disposed of if single use.

  1. Sanitising hands on entering our premises is required for all.

  2. Dentists and staff are the ones who go out of their way AT THE WORKPLACE to protect themselves from all viruses, as well as the common flu, which kills thousands every year.

  3. Patients with fever, cough, difficulty breathing and who have traveled to at-risk countries in the last 14 days are told to postpone their treatment.
